The new Rode NTG-2 is a lightweight "half-shotgun" professional microphone, specifically designed for professional use in video, film, and television applications.

The NTG-2 features a balanced low-impedance output and operates interchangeably with standard phantom power or an internal 1.5V battery.

Its very wide frequency response and controlled polar pattern, coupled with electronics capable of very low self-noise, make the NTG-2 the ideal microphone for audio recording in film, TV, video applications, and voice-overs. Furthermore, its particularly lightweight construction makes direct camera mounting simple (thanks to optional accessories).

The NTG-2 is sold with its mount and a specially designed windshield for use with this microphone, which significantly reduces wind noise during outdoor shoots.
