5-Year Extended Warranty – Giordano

5-Year Warranty
The "Giordano Card 5 Years" is valid for private individuals and businesses and covers all photography and astronomy products (with prices between €200 and €2,000 including VAT).

From February 1, 2018, Giordano offers all its customers the possibility to extend the legal warranty up to a total of 5 years:

  • 1 year manufacturer's warranty

  • + 4 years warranty offered by Giordano

For products with a value exceeding €3,000 including VAT, the 5-year extension is only available by paying an additional fee, to be requested within 15 days of purchase.


How to activate the extended warranty

The warranty extension is not automatic, but is granted only if the following conditions are met within 60 days from the date of purchase:

  1. Publication of a post on Instagram and/or Facebook and/or TikTok with a photo of the purchased equipment, tagging Giordano's official channels.

  2. Submission of a review on Giordano's Google page.

⚠️ Important:

  • The actions must remain active for the entire duration of the warranty (5 years).

  • Should the social content or review be removed, the extended warranty will automatically lapse.

  • To request warranty assistance, the customer must send Giordano a screenshot and the direct link of the post and review, confirming their online presence.

Those who do not perform these actions will only receive the legal warranty:

  • 1 year for businesses and VAT-registered individuals

  • 2 years for private individuals


Benefits included with the Giordano Card 5 Years

  • Return within 2 months without obligation to state a reason, provided the product is in perfect condition and in its original packaging.

  • Free replacement product in case of repairs exceeding 30 working days* (service available only for those who have activated the warranty extension).


Exclusions

Exclusions from the extension include: batteries, chargers, backgrounds, software, memory cards, hard drives, DVDs/CDs, disposable or wearable products, headphones/earbuds (for hygiene reasons).
Refurbished products have 1 year warranty.

The warranty does not apply in the following situations:

  • In case of falls, impacts, humidity, or sand damage.

  • In case of wear and tear due to professional use.

  • In case of dead pixels.

  • In case of loss or theft.

  • For demo models, second-hand products, outlet models, and pre-orders.

The warranty is personal and non-transferable. Name and address data must be registered correctly.
The warranty is not applicable retroactively.
Subject to printing, typing, and spelling errors.


Return procedure

To make a return within 2 months:

  1. Send a request to info@giordanoin.com, indicating order number, product, and reason (optional).

  2. Properly package the product with all accessories and the original packaging.

  3. Include proof of purchase.

  4. Ship with a trusted courier to the communicated address.

ℹ️ The refund will be issued only after our warehouse verifies the integrity of the returned product.

  • If the product is damaged and can no longer be sold as new, a damage assessment will be performed, and a refund lower than the purchase price will be offered.

  • Alternatively, the customer may choose to have the product returned by paying the return shipping costs.

  • In case of a partial return, the shipping costs already incurred are considered used for the retained goods.

For items that have been turned on, used, or configured, 10% to 40% of the value will be deducted, based on the condition upon return and usage.

In case of a shipping error or damaged product delivered, shipping costs will be borne by Giordano.


Limitations of liability

  • The warranty exclusively covers defects in conformity and does not apply to damage resulting from improper use, falls, impacts, unauthorized modifications, or tampering.

  • The shipping costs for sending for service are borne by the customer, while the return costs of the repaired product are borne by Giordano.

  • Average service times are between 15 and 30 working days, unless otherwise communicated.

  • Manuals and software in Italian are provided free of charge by Giordano only if available from the parent companies.


Note on the replacement product

The replacement product, available only to those who have activated the extended warranty, is provided in case of repairs exceeding 30 working days.

  • It may differ from the one sent for service.

  • It may have lower or higher performance.

  • It is granted for a maximum of 7 working days.

  • If the customer wishes to keep it for longer, a daily rental cost will be applied.

  • Availability of the replacement product is not guaranteed.
