The Yongnuo YN-24EX is a macro flash, suitable for close-up photography of subjects and objects. The flash supports E-TTL/E-TTL II auto mode for Canon Eos cameras and has a guide number of GN24, suitable for any type of macro photography.

The flash consists of a control unit, to be placed on the hot shoe, and two adjustable flash heads, to be placed on the lens used for shooting; thanks to this design, it will be possible to illuminate the subject or object from any angle, being able to position the flashes at an angle of 90° (upwards and downwards), 60° (inwards) and 30° (outwards), with the possibility of rotating the lens adapter by 50° (upwards) and 30° (downwards). The flashes have a power ranging from GN26 (ISO 100), when only one flash is used, to GN24 (ISO 100), when both are used; moreover, LEDs are present to aid focusing on the subject or object, with the possibility of synchronization on the first and second curtain.

In addition to TTL auto mode, it is also possible to control the flashes manually, with a power range from 1/1 to 1/128, in 1/3 stop increments.

To control the flash, in addition to the hotshoe (to be used both on-camera and wirelessly), it will be possible to use the PC-Sync port (for transmitting only the trigger command). The system is powered by 4 AA batteries (alkaline or rechargeable) or by an external battery pack (to be purchased separately), and, with both types of power supply, the flash recycle time will be approximately 3 seconds (at maximum power). Included in the package are 4 adapter rings for lenses with diameters of 52mm, 58mm, 67mm, and 72mm, and a convenient pouch.
