Description
CANON EW-83H
Lens Hood for CANON EW-83H
Useful Information:
Light (natural or artificial) hitting the lens causes various "whitish" infiltrations. Have you ever noticed, for example, a kind of haze effect on your subject while photographing them in bright sunlight? Direct sunlight or light reflected from objects and clouds leads to poor color rendition, making them soft and hazy. Contrast also suffers because light infiltrations diminish the blacks in your photograph, as if you had photographed with a veil in front. Mounting the lens hood allows you to block these "bad" light intrusions. I am referring to that part of the light that is not needed by the sensor to take the photograph, but which comes from outside the field you are framing and is useless and even annoying. In photographs taken with a lens hood, the colors will be richer and more noticeable. The lens hood, in fact, performs the same function as a cap with a visor or your hands, when you use them to shield yourself from a blinding light source to see better.
