Description
EW-73 II
Lens Hood for EW-73 II
Useful Information:
Light (natural or artificial) hitting the lens causes various "whitish" infiltrations. Have you ever noticed, for example, a kind of haze effect on your subject when photographing it in direct sunlight? Direct sunlight or light reflected from objects and clouds results in poor color rendition, softening and blurring them. Contrast also suffers because light infiltrations lighten the blacks in your photo, as if you had photographed with a veil in front. Mounting the lens hood allows you to block these "bad" light intrusions. I am referring to the part of the light that is not needed by the sensor to take the photograph, but rather comes from outside the field you are framing and is useless and even annoying. In photographs taken with a lens hood, colors will be richer and more noticeable. The lens hood, in fact, serves the same function as a cap with a visor or your hands, when you use them to shield yourself from a blinding light source and see better.
