The Sony FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM E-Mount is a new full-frame lens for the E-mount camera system.

The FE 16-35mm F2.8GM wide-angle zoom has a constant F2.8 aperture and combines the incredible resolution and beautiful bokeh of the G Master series with a focal range of 16-35mm.

The lens is particularly suitable for natural and urban landscapes, portraits, and more. The FE 16–35mm F2.8 GM is the first G Master model with a wide-angle zoom, making it ideal for various photographic situations: landscapes, architecture, close-ups, sports, action, and much more.

Thanks to its lightweight and compact design, it is also extremely portable and easy to use. The new lens offers exceptional sharpness across the entire frame. The optical design includes five aspherical elements, including two original XA (eXtreme Aspherical) elements that reduce aberration and create optimal resolution.

Subjects are sharp, while the background is blurred with beautiful bokeh.

The floating focus system makes AF fast, quiet, and precise. Resistant to dust and moisture.

XA Element The FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM includes the largest XA element ever built, ensuring maximum quality. In addition, two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements are employed, which limit chromatic aberration and optimize resolution. Sony's original Nano AR coating eliminates internal reflections to ensure extraordinary image contrast and stunning sharpness. The XA element, in combination with the 11 aperture blades, makes subjects sharp while the background is blurred with a bokeh effect.
