Its primary characteristic is high brightness. Thanks to this, photographers have an additional tool for both portraits and shooting events or landscapes. The AF autofocus control algorithm and communication speed optimization have been specifically developed for X-mount lenses. In addition to offering high-speed AF, the lens also supports the AF-C (continuous AF) function and in-camera aberration correction. The lens is constructed from 16 elements in 13 groups, incorporating the best available technology: three FLD glass elements, two SLD glass elements, and two aspherical lenses. This optical system minimizes aberrations and ensures exceptional resolution at all apertures. Furthermore, the optical system's structure gently bends light to minimize sagittal coma flare and provide optimal optical performance from the center of the frame to the edges. The result is a soft, round bokeh effect with a large volume of light across the entire frame. Sigma's Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting to help photographers produce sharp, high-contrast images even in backlit conditions.
