The SIGMA 10-18mm F2.8 DC DN | Contemporary is the world's smallest and lightest ultra-wide-angle zoom lens for APS-C cameras*, capable of covering a focal length range of 15-27mm (35mm format equivalent). Thanks to its ultra-sharp optics, large F2.8 aperture, and newly designed petal-type hood, photographers can create expressive images anytime, anywhere. The lens features aspherical elements that reduce the overall size of the lens and improve image quality.
A minimum focusing distance of 11.6 cm (1:4) allows for unique images with airy backgrounds and pleasing bokeh. Weighing only 260g*, it features a fast stepping AF motor and minimal focus breathing, making the lens easy to mount on a motorized gimbal to create stunning video content for social media and even professional projects. Thanks to its special optical design conceived to reduce aberrations, the SIGMA 10-18mm F2.8 DC DN/Contemporary produces sharp images both in the center and at the edges of the frame.
Aspherical lens, and low-dispersion glass
The use of an aspherical lens with high eccentricity and refractive index as the first element of the lens allowed for an optical design based on a reduced number of elements. The lens can produce high-resolution images while remaining compact and lightweight, thanks also to low-dispersion glass lenses.
Minimum focusing distance 11.6 cm, maximum magnification ratio 1:4
At a focal length of 11.6cm, the minimum focusing distance is 10mm, which allows for creating highly impactful images. With its 1:4 magnification ratio, it allows for unique images of portraits and still life.

New pressure-fit petal-type hood model
A newly designed petal-type hood is standard with the lens. Unlike traditional bayonet-mount hoods that attach with a rotational movement, this pressure-fit hood is fixed to the lens using a spring and lever system. The system reduces the size and thickness of the hood to make the lens even more compact.
Constant aperture zoom lens in the line, lightweight, compact with F2.8 brightness
Together with the SIGMA 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN | Contemporary lens, it covers a focal range from 15 to 75mm (35mm equivalent) with a constant F2.8 aperture. Together they weigh only 550 grams.

The lens is compatible with the electronic image stabilization function, aberration correction function, DMF, and AF+MF in camera bodies from various manufacturers. The advantage of this ultra-wide-angle lens is to provide a wide field of view even when the electronic image stabilization function crops the image.
