The SIGMA MOUNT CONVERTER MC-21 allows owners of SIGMA SA mount and SIGMA CANON EF mount lenses to use them with L-Mount camera bodies. This allows for a choice between different camera bodies and increases the versatility of the L-System.
Using the MC-21 mount converter, compatible SIGMA SA mount and SIGMA CANON EF mount lenses* can be used as if they were L-System lenses.

The MC-21 mount converter brings the total number of SIGMA lenses that can be used with the L-System to 29. With the auto-crop function, APS-C optics can be mounted on full-frame cameras.
• The MC-21 is not necessary with lenses already equipped with an L-Mount
• It cannot be used with a teleconverter
• The use of non-compatible lenses does not guarantee good results

The compatibility of the desired lens is immediately visible, thanks to the LED on the MC-21. The LED warns if a new lens firmware update is available.
With the data preloaded in the MC-21, related to each lens, autofocus and aperture control have been optimized.
Regarding future lenses, the data for their operation with the MC-21 will be stored in the lens itself. This means that no firmware updates for the MC-21 will be necessary to use new lenses. Furthermore, the MC-21 also supports correction functions offered by the camera such as peripheral illumination, chromatic aberration, and distortion.
Lenses without a tripod collar can use the MC-21's tripod collar
Against internal reflections, the internal part is treated with anti-reflective material
Lens information, its focal length, F-value, and other information are included as Exif in each file.
