The Samyang 12mm T/2.2 VDSLR NCS CS lens is a super wide-angle lens, designed for cameras with an APS-C sensor. It has been carefully designed for professional video shooting, already equipped with geared rings for direct attachment to a follow focus. The aperture can be adjusted silently and smoothly, thanks to the free ring without the clicks of the blades. The number paired with T indicates the amount of light transmitted. The lens works in a manual aperture system with a low T value, ensuring better shooting in all situations.

This lens consists of 12 elements in 10 groups, including 1 hybrid aspherical (H-ASP), 1 aspherical (AS) lens, and 3 extra-low dispersion (ED) lenses, which minimize chromatic aberrations to produce images of exceptional quality and high contrast from the center to the corners, even when the aperture is fully open. For the first time in Samyang Optics' history, the Nano Coating System (NCS) has been used to achieve very low light reflection and higher contrast. The aperture is made up of 6 blades, which have been designed to be almost like a complete circle when the aperture is fully closed, all to ensure perfect depth of field.

The body of the Samyang 12mm T/2.2 VDSLR NCS CS is solid and compact, made of high-strength aluminum. Faithful images can be captured even in unfavorable conditions and the petal-shaped lens hood is necessary to remove stray light.
