At just 509g, the lens is even lighter than its predecessor (568g), making it the ideal travel companion. Compact and handy, the lens can be easily stored in your camera bag. Samyang's newly revised L-STM autofocus is driven by a linear stepping motor and focuses faster and quieter than the previous model. The autofocus delivers optimal, sharp image quality, even with moving subjects. No matter if it's a photo or a video: the quality is right and meets the highest demands.

Professional functions - always up to date

A true improvement over its predecessor are the custom switch and the focus hold button. The custom switch allows convenient control of the aperture via the focus ring. The separate lens station offers further fine-tuning of the autofocus and updates. This ensures optimal and up-to-date performance.

Depending on the respective camera model, individual programming such as eye autofocus can be performed and saved using the focus hold button.

The weather protection has been optimized for shooting in adverse conditions and reliably protects the lens at 7 different points from the ingress of dust, dirt or moisture with rubber lips inside and on the bayonet. This means that you can also shoot in rain, snow or sand without damaging your equipment.
