Laowa Venus Optics filters are made with high-quality materials, a characteristic that also distinguishes its lenses.

Special anti-reflective coatings have been applied to these filters to significantly reduce the glare produced.

The filter has two main functions:

• UV Reduction: filters of this type effectively reduce the amount of ultraviolet spectrum the camera receives. This is particularly important when shooting analogue, using traditional synthetic materials, which are much more sensitive to UV radiation than digital matrices. UV filters are primarily useful for excursions, where there is a higher concentration of UV rays. By considerably eliminating this band of radiation, great benefits will be gained in terms of image clarity and sharpness;
• Lens Protection: in addition to its UV reduction functions, the filter is generally used to protect the front elements of the lens from scratches and impacts, preserving the lens.
