Hoya Fusion Antistatic UV filters feature an antistatic coating that acts as a force field around the filter to repel dust. These filters require less frequent cleaning than traditional filters.
The top layer is antistatic, water-repellent, stain-resistant, and scratch-resistant, and is easily cleaned of smudges or fingerprints.
The new professional antistatic fusion filters are made in Japan using hand-selected silicates to produce high-performance optical glass. Hoya then uses extreme precision to apply the improved 9-layer HMC coating which reduces or eliminates glare on the glass surface and provides very high light transmission speeds. This means that the filter has no effect on the color balance, contrast, or clarity of the final image. (in addition to its polarizing effects) These filters feature a low-profile (thin) aluminum frame that eliminates vignetting when used on wide-angle lenses. The anti-UV properties filter unwanted ultraviolet rays, reduce haze effect, and increase clarity.
