HD Series UV filters are the ideal solution for photographers who need a high-quality filter that absorbs excess UV rays present in various operating situations (such as mountain photography) but can also be permanently mounted on the lens to protect the front element from dust and scratches.

Technical Specifications:

• 8-layer anti-reflection coating on both surfaces of the optical glass. This ensures a transmission of 99.353% of the light reaching the filter;
• 4 times greater breaking strength than a conventional photographic filter. This result was achieved through the adoption of special hardening treatments that Hoya developed to make its ophthalmic lenses compliant with ANSI Z80.3.2001, required for the commercialization of prescription lenses in the USA. This hardening treatment is also very effective in preventing scratches;
• Stain-resistant coating makes the filter surface much easier to clean and resistant even to indelible inks;
• Ultra-Slim mount made of high-stability aluminum, treated with a "black-alamite" external finish. The filter is therefore suitable for mounting even on ultra-wide-angle lenses, without causing vignetting at the edges of the image;
• Black lacquering on the outer edge of the filter, which prevents internal parasitic reflections even in the most challenging backlighting conditions;
• Knurled edge that facilitates mounting and removal of the filter. Front thread allows a second filter or lens hood to be mounted;
