Hoya Neutral Density (ND) filters do not affect colors in the slightest and allow for longer exposure times to achieve highly spectacular "motion" shots.
This type of filter is mainly used for:
- Lengthening exposure to capture subjects such as: waterfalls, rivers, moving vehicles, etc.;
- Being able to use a wider aperture to achieve a perfectly focused subject but with a very soft, blurred background;
- Shooting, even in bright light, at ISO values above 400;
- Allowing you to take photos of scenes such as rain or snow, in order to have the clearest possible "motion" photo, without the problem of overexposure.
