Hoya Neutral Density (ND) series filters do not affect colors in the slightest and allow for longer exposure times to achieve highly spectacular "in motion" shots.
This type of filter is mainly used for:

• Extending exposure to capture subjects such as: waterfalls, rivers, moving vehicles, etc.;
• Using the widest aperture, in order to get a perfectly focused subject, but with a very soft blurred background;
• Shooting, even in strong light, at ISO values above 400;
• Allowing to photograph scenes like rain or snow, in order to have the clearest possible "in motion" photo, without the problem of overexposure.
