Fusion Series filters feature a hardened coating that offers a dual effect: it makes the filters less prone to scratches and stains and at the same time makes them water-repellent. Water droplets slide off without settling on the filter surface. They are therefore easier to clean and particularly suitable for use in "hostile" environments, i.e., humid and/or dusty. Fusion Series filters are made of the highest quality optical glass, feature a nine-layer anti-reflective treatment on both surfaces, and are equipped with a "slim" circular mount, which prevents vignetting at the corners of the image when the filter is mounted on extreme wide-angle lenses.
Like all Hoya Protector filters, the new Fusion filters also allow all present wavelengths to pass through. These are filters whose sole purpose is to protect the front lens from dirt and scratches. A practical and economical system to protect the lens without compromising its optical qualities.
