This 70 x 100 cm Godox rectangular softbox with honeycomb grid provides perfect, soft lighting and is a professional photography accessory.

The covering is made of rip-stop nylon fabric, making the softboxes highly resistant to mechanical damage yet very lightweight. The interior features a silver lampshade that evenly distributes light to the diffuser. At the front, there is a collar for attaching the honeycomb (included).   Softboxes can control the shape and direction of light, making it softer and more even than an umbrella can, while also limiting light spill.

  Softboxes also come in different shapes and sizes: the most common shape is rectangular, excellent for a natural effect like that of a window. For softboxes, larger dimensions offer a wider and more even illuminated area, but require more flash power. The necessary size is related to the subject: for a portrait, a speedlight with a small softbox may be sufficient; for groups or larger subjects, a larger softbox will be needed.

  A general rule states that the size of the softbox should be approximately that of the subject: so for a portrait, you can start from 40x60cm; for a full-body portrait, from 60-80x140cm upwards. For groups, it may be necessary to use multiple softboxes.

  The choice of shape is also important, especially if working at close range to the subject, as the shape of the light modifier can often be reflected in the subject's eyes – this is one reason why octagonal softboxes are widely used in beauty shots, as they not only provide soft and enveloping light but also create a pleasing circular reflection.
