Description
Godox S-Bracket EB-040 with 40x40cm Softbox for Shoe Mount Flash
This is a portable and versatile softbox with an S-Bracket for speedlites. By diffusing the flash illumination, the softbox creates perfect and uniform lighting that allows you to capture perfect images.
The S-type bracket combines four other types (Bowen L-type, Bowen T-type, L-type speed ring, T-type speed ring).
- No pre-assembly and post-disassembly.
- Unique speedlite mounting method: mounted horizontally or vertically by wrapping the speedlite body.
- Gentle mounting: no pressure on the hotshoe, no metallic scratches on the speedlite.
- The mount size is adjustable to fit all brands of speedlites and also the Godox AD-360. An umbrella input hole is available, and lighting direction adjustment with the handle is supported. The Bowens mount allows the addition of most studio flash accessories, such as speedlites, softboxes, reflectors, beauty dishes, etc.
Technical specifications:
- Softbox size: 40 * 40cm / 15 * 15inch
- Color: Black and White
- Bowens S-Bracket
- Material: Durable Plastic
-
Useful Information:Softboxes can control the shape and direction of light, making it softer and more even than an umbrella can, while also limiting its spill.
Softboxes also come in different shapes and sizes: the most common shape is rectangular, great for a natural window-like effect. For softboxes, larger sizes offer a wider and more homogeneous illuminated area, but require more flash power. The necessary size is linked to the subject: for a portrait, a shoe-mount flash with a small softbox may be sufficient; for groups or larger subjects, a larger softbox will be necessary.
A general rule says that the size of the softbox should be approximately that of the subject: so for a portrait, you can start from 40x60cm; a full-body portrait from 60-80x140cm upwards. For groups, it may be necessary to use multiple softboxes.
The choice of shape is also important, especially if working at close range to the subject, as the shape of the light modifier can often reflect in the subject's eyes - this is one of the reasons why octagonal softboxes are widely used in beauty shots, as they not only provide soft and enveloping light but also create a pleasant circular reflection.
